Sourn Serey Ratha, the in the past self-ousted president of the new Khmer Power Party, said yesterday that he was planning to sue Foreign Minister Hor Namhong for maligning for suggesting a week ago that Ratha was a "terrorist", an allegation the legislature had since a long time ago leveled at the dissident before his arrival to Cambodia.
Ratha said yesterday that Namhong had made the comments to the press taking after a meeting at the US Embassy on December 7 amidst remarks in regards to recently shaped gatherings, calling the KPP "a gathering, which has as its pioneer a terrorist genius".
"For this point, I chose to sue him for maligning and actuating individuals to victimize the Khmer Power Party, in light of the fact that from the earliest starting point, we haven't been a terrorist association or the individuals from a terrorist bunch," Ratha said, adding that he wanted to record his suit on Monday at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
"So what he has said was not genuine and was a demonstration of affecting victimization the Khmer Power Party so as to make supporters and others terrified of supporting the Khmer Power Party," he said.
